Revocable Living Trust

A Revocable Living Trust is a legal document that, just like a will, contains the instructions for what you want to happen to your assets when you die. But, unlike a will, a living trust avoids probate by transferring your assets from your name to the name of your trust during lifetime or through the use of a Marital Property Agreement at death. It also avoids the need for ancillary probates if you own property outside of Wisconsin. It can also be used to provide for assistance in managing your assets during your lifetime. During your lifetime, you retain complete control over your property.
